Month of Ramadam in Mecca

13th September 

Today  I´m finally in Mecca, and casually is the month of Ramadan. In this month of the year fasting is obligatory to all the adults to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad. This tradition is one of the Five Pillars of the Islam. Now I´m going to the main square of Mecca to see the people and if its any special thing. Now I´m in the square, I see a lot of people with white suit and a gigant black box. The big black box is the Kaaba, the most sacred Muslim monument. Is like the `House of the God´. It´s a very interesting and different religion and rare, but; its a good experience. Now, my travel finish, and I going to stay in Mecca a lot of Time.

Constantinople

18th of August.
Yesterday I left Constantinople and I continue going to Mecca. Constantinople was a big city with a lot of power. When I went to the main square, I see a lot of warriors. I was scared, many slaves come out of the prision for work to the land. I thought that I have to scape from the city because the people that dont were of the country become slaves. All the city was surrounded by walls to defend. Before I scaped of the town, I visit a  big church, the Hagia Sofia. It was a Byzantine architecture and it was the biggest church that i see in my life.It was ordered to build by the Emperor Justinian I. Then, I scaped and go towards Mecca.

The start of a long travel

22nd July:

Yesterday I left Aachen towards Constantinople. In the travel, I was thinking about it. Aachen have many important Monuments such as the cathedral. This was the only Cathedral of Northen Europe. The emperor Charlemange ordered to build it. It was a big and hight estructure of rock and other materials.Was a simbolic place of Aachen for all the people of the city, but now; no many people remember it.

Alim the Merchant

Hi! Im Alim, a poor merchant of Aachen (Germany). I sell many diferents things releated to hunt and pottery, such as wooden tolls, vases, walking sticks and many other things. I´m going to make a long journey to Mecca because my country is entering in a war and I dont want to die. I Also go there to know their culture and important monuments. In this journey I going to Constantinople first to visit the city. It´s 21st of June 812, and I dont know when
 I´ll get to Mecca.
